Benzoyl Peroxide vs Tea Tree Oil - June 10th, 2011

There seems to be a debate among many skin-care experts as to whether tea tree oil or benzoyl peroxide is the best all natural acre remedy. With so much mudslinging between products that focus on one or the other, we thought that we would offer an unbiased review of which ingredient actually performs better.

Effectiveness

For years it was thought that benzoyl peroxide was the more powerful alternative. The fact that it caused so much skin irritation showed that it was effective but came with a price. However, recent studies have proven that a formula that uses a 5% concentration of tea tree oil can produce the same acne-clearing benefits as any benzoyl peroxide mix using the same percentage. However, it is still the consensus that benzoyl peroxide works faster.

Safety

Both compounds are relatively safe as long as used correctly. The American Cancer Society has said that: “Tea tree oil is toxic when swallowed. It has been reported to cause drowsiness, confusion, hallucinations, coma, unsteadiness, weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, blood cell abnormalities, and severe rashes.” It has also been identified as causing potential inner-ear problems if used inside the ear. While these side effects do sound severe, tea tree oil is safe when only applied to the skin. Some people have reported being sensitive to it, but the majority of users experience nothing but benefits.

Unlike the ingredient above, benzoyl peroxide doesn’t really threaten many adverse effects when swallowed. Instead, it has a higher likelihood of causing skin irritation on the surface. Among those with sensitive skin, this compound frequently causes burning, peeling, itching, and sometimes swelling. The good news though is that most users develop a tolerance to the side effects within a few weeks, all while still being effective against acne. But overall, Tea Tree Oil is still less harsh on the skin.

Price

Both ingredients are rather cost effective in that a small 5% concentration of either compound can be used to great effect. However, 5% benzoyl peroxide concentrations have proven no more effective than a 2.5% concentration. This makes benzoyl peroxide slightly more cost effective and may offer better bang for your buck.

The Victor

If you ask us, they’re both winners. While benzoyl peroxide may be slightly more cost effective, tea tree oil products definitely cause less irritation. In either case though, they yield pretty much the same anti-acne results, clearing away dead skin and clearing pimples and zits, easily and quickly.

Instead of deciding on one or the other, there are several formulas that include both. The best acne treatment we’ve seen to leverage the power of both these compounds is a topical cream called Nanocleanse. This prescription-strength treatment is guaranteed to safely and comfortably dispel acne in just 72 hours. If you want to get rid of your acne in just three days of use, buy Nanocleanse today.

How to Treat Pimples - March 2nd, 2011

Daily hygiene is such a basic way to treat pimples, but most people are doing it wrong!

This routine is a simple 3 step process that should be followed precisely for optimal results and it is one of the best treatment for acne. It is important to do this daily, in fact, twice daily. Being gentle is essential, and do not be stingy with medication or moisturizer.

Step 1: Cleanse your skin
• Avoid harsh soaps, scrubs, or soaps with facial beads. Use only a mild soap.
• Gently splash warm water over your face to prepare your skin. Use a generous amount of cleanser for a rich lather. Wash the acne infections with the lather for at least ten seconds. If you must, count in your head, because a thorough cleanse removes all excess oil and penetrates the skin. Splash your face with warm water to rinse away the lather. Make sure you use a soft and clean towel to pat your skin dry. Scrubbing your face dry creates irritation and leaves no moisture behind.

Step 2: Apply Treatment
• Use2.5 % benzoyl peroxide
• Before you do anything, wash and dry your hands to clear away bacteria. Dispense benzoyl peroxide into your palm, you can never use too much medication! Spread this medication all over your face lightly and allow it to absorb into the skin. Allow the benzoyl peroxide to seep into the skin for 5-15 minutes.

Step 3: Moisturize your skin
• Once again, wash your hands. To avoid dry skin from the treatment, use plenty of moisturizer. Pump the moisturizer about three times. Apply the moisturizer by spreading it gently over the skin without rubbing it in. Let your skin soak it up and re-hydrate.

This regimen is strict, do not skip any steps or forget to constantly wash your hands. Try to avoid touching your face throughout the day. It may seem time consuming or you may feel too tired at night to do a thorough job, but acne-free smooth skin is on the line!

Order Checks Online - February 19th, 2010

Now when it comes to ordering things online, we order just about everything online these days. I know people who order their groceries online! Which is slightly amazing to me to say the least. But you have to ask, can you trust ordering checks online? I usually go into my bank, and they take care of it for me, but when it comes to checks unlimited, they just don’t necessarily provide all of the things that the online stores promise.

At this point, I don’t respond to or open emails that they say are from my bank. I don’t really respond to certain things in general, and I do order online. But I am extremely careful about it. But realistically speaking, with so many other options in really checks unlimited, it’s becoming more and more pressure to just find a good and legitimate company that does this stuff.

It may seem silly. But I want my dog’s picture on the front of my check! I want well maybe not so much my picture, but other personalized pictures on my credit card and other places. I want something that feels individualized to me, and when you go through companies that offer checks unlimited, they seem to provide that. It’s just a matter of being careful about things. It’s so easy to be frauded, and therefore it’s easy to lose your money. So you really have to go through legitimate means, check out the company, make sure that you look at online consumer reports. Because with so many scams, consumers can’t stop talking. It’s just a matter it seems of being careful, especially when ordering something like checks online.

Dangers Of ExtenZe - January 28th, 2010

ExtenZe is a natural male enhancement product that claims that you can finally get the ultimate male prohormone support that will help you to achieve optimal levels of sexual health and wellness. They claim that it will finally help you to make your partner happy without any painful weights, gadgets, stretchers, or surgery, just one amazing natural supplement. And of course, there are no prescriptions involved.

But what are the potential dangers of a product like ExtenZe? What are the ExtenZe side effects? Or are there any dangers? Does ExtenZe work? ExtenZe does not actually work. For one thing, while it has some good ingredients that are related such as horny goat weed for example and tribulus terrestis, they do not actually have the right amounts. Therefore, while some are clinically proven, it will not give you any of what you would need.

But as far as the dangers and ExtenZe side effects go, they have different stimulants and forms of caffeine. Ultimately speaking, these can end up causing you to experience insomnia, overstimulation, jitters, and other side effects commonly related to caffeine. But when increasing stamina, blood flow, erections, etc with these ingredients, it’s not quite as bad.

On the other hand, while yohimbine has been speculated to be a natural aphrodisiac, the studies are questionable. And realistically speaking, even if it had the best benefits, you would have to question if yohimbine was actually worth it and therefore if ExtenZe is worth it. Yohimbine has been known to be responsible for heart attacks, strokes, and complete renal failure along with various other unnamed side effects that are nonetheless quite serious.

So if you are looking for something a bit safer and more effective in general terms, I would recommend a product called Orexis. Orexis has better ingredients than ExtenZe, and it is considerably safer, not making you measure the results against possible side effects. There really is no comparison between the two. Orexis works and ExtenZe doesn’t.

Water As An Acne Treatment - September 22nd, 2009

I have tried so many skin routines that I don’t know what my natural skin would look like if I just left it alone. I know that there are numerous skin treatments and remedies that work and are highly effective, but they need you to do your part in order to be as effective as possible. If we want our skin to be the best that it can be, we need to be drinking loads of water every day. We know that water helps every function and organ in our bodies, but we tend to overlook the fact that our skin is the largest organ we have!

So it needs water just as much as the rest of our bodies to be looking its best. Water flushes out toxins that would stay in our bodies otherwise. If we don’t drink enough water, some of these toxins can manifested on our skin as the body is trying to get rid of it somewhere, but it gets essentially trapped. Since our bodies are made up of around 70% water, how can we think we can ever getting enough of it? The same concept applies in relation to our skin.

To keep the balance of moisture and the flushing out of toxins that can become zits, we need to be drinking enough water to where our urine is clear. Experts say around eight glasses of water a day is ideal, but every person is different, so make sure to adjust to your own body’s needs.
